P&H High Court - Govt can deny pay to employee absent due to criminal case

The Punjab and Haryana high court has clarified that the state govt is fully entitled to withhold the back wages of an employee for the duration he has been absent from duty due to involvement in a criminal case, even if the individual is subsequently acquitted of all charges.
